Meet Dr. Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in the Portland area and her journey into dentistry began at Pacific Lutheran University where she played soccer and tennis. After graduating cum laude with two degrees, she went on to attend Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) where she received her four-year Army Health Professional Scholarship. During her active-duty assignment in Kaiserslautern, Germany, she discovered her interest in dental surgery while participating in a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency.
Dr. Nguyen continued to strengthen her dental expertise during the next three years as one of the only general dentists in a large specialty clinic. After serving in the military and exploring Europe, Dr. Nguyen returned to OHSU for a three year periodontal residency in 2008.
She is now a board-certified periodontist, and a past president of the Oregon Society of Periodontics. Since completing her residency, she has developed a passion for nutrition and has a blog called nutritionfororalhealth.com. She is committed to providing individualized treatments with a caring touch in the greater Portland area and looks forward to many years of serving patients with skillful and compassionate care. When not at the office, she is a busy mom of three children as well as several pets, and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible.
